Mononoke is a A spin-off of 2006’s horror anthology series Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, Mononoke follows the character of the medicine seller as he continues to face a myriad of supernatural perils. You don’t need to watch  Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, before Mononoke but Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales is a really good anime to.

Mononoke is kind of creepy and ……….unusual. this is not like the usual anime i’m watching but i just love this !   this anime can be creepy, sad ,maybe  brutal ………..hmmm maybe a adult manga or older teens

The animations is good and the sound track is  beautiful and helps with the mood. the drawings has a good style and is not like so many other animes.

The voice of the main character is Takahiro Sakurai he has also done the voice for ·  The Mythical Detective Loki RagnarokD.Gray-man as Yû Kanda  and more  he is my favorites voice actor as Loki (older), ·

Plot

Mononoke follows a wandering, nameless character known only as the “Medicine Seller” (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai). The series is made up of individual chapters in which the medicine seller encounters, combats and subsequently destroys various mononoke. The “mononoke” are a type of ayakashi, unnatural spirits that linger in the human world.

The Medicine Seller always proceeds in the same manner, using his knowledge of the supernatural to fend off the mononoke until he can learn the spirit’s shape (Katachi), truth (Makoto) and reasoning (Kotowari). Only then can he unsheathe his sword and exorcise the demon.
